The plot embodied in the nineteenth century various composers: representatives of the Austro-German school (K.Blumenroder, F. Danzi, K. Raissigier, C. Кon, A. Jensen, T. Rehbaum), the Netherlands composer van Houven, the classic of the Danish-Norwegian school G. von Levenschjold and Italian composer A. Bazzini – teacher J. Puccini. Among genre variants, the plot of Turandot caused the following varieties of operas: singspiel, lyrical romantic and fairy-romantic opera, lyrical drama, romantic drama of the Wagner type, tragic romantic drama, lyrical and psychological opera, thus demonstrating the path from classic, early romantic to the late romantic readings of an oriental theme.
