MEN'S DANCE IN THE BALLET THEATER OF UKRAINE 50–60 S OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY
Abstract
The article analyzes men's performance in the ballet theater of Ukraine in the 1950–1960 s. – during the transition from choreodrama to symphonic ballet performances. It is noted that during this period there was a renewal of the repertoire, a change in choreographer and performing generations. Highly technical, but at the same time figurative, psychologically rich, poetic men's dance was actualized. The dancers began to walk with confidence until they acquired virtuosity in performing complex technical movements. A galaxy of real creative individuals appeared – masters of men's ballet performance. R. Vizyrenko-Kliavin (Kyiv), V. Denysenko (Kharkiv), V. Parsiehov (Kyiv), O. Pospielov (Donetsk, Lviv) were among the most prominent representatives of the Ukrainian school of men's dance, who worked in various opera and ballet theaters during this period
