DYBYNTSI’S CERAMICS IN ART CULTURE UKRAINE XIX –ХХ CENТURIES

Abstract

This publication is devoted to studying the activity of one of the well-known centers of the ceramic craft of the Middle Dnieper from the ХІХ–ХХ century – Dybyntsi village of Boguslav district of the Kyiv region in the context of the development of folk crafts. The diversity of the artistic culture of the region, that was reflected in the art of the investigated potter’s center, is illustrated. The peculiarities of art products decorating and shaping approaches, that are characteristic of the Dybyntsi’s ceramic art, were analyzed. Based on the ancient traditions of Ukrainian pottery, the Dybyntsi’s ceramic art created its own features and influenced the other pottery centers. The basic existence stages of the Dybyntsi’s ceramic industry in the Ukrainian art culture of the 19th-20th centuries were determined and characterized.
