UKRAINIAN POP-JAZZ PERFORMANCE IN THE PERSONALISTIC CONTEXT OF THE EARLY 21ST CENTURY

Abstract

The purpose of the article. To characterize the main trends in the development of Ukrainian accordion pop - jazz performance in the early 21 st century; to identify its key features and analyze the activities of prominent figures within the studied field.
Research methodology. The methodological basis of the article consists of analytical, historical - stylistic, comparative, and personalist approaches. The analytical method was applied to identify the main trends in the development of Ukrainian accordion pop-jazz performance at the beginning of the 21 st century; the historicalstylistic approach – to explore the processes of accordion art development from its formative stage to contemporary concert practice; the comparative method – to juxtapose national and global trends in the evolution of pop-jazz performance, and the personalist approach – to reveal the individual creative concepts of leading Ukrainian performers.
Results. The study identified the main trends in the development of Ukrainian accordion pop-jazz performance at the beginning of the 21st century. The research revealed the growing role of the performer’s individuality as a creator of a musical product, the spread of universalism, and the synthesis of academic, pop, and jazz traditions.
The activities of leading Ukrainian performers and composers representing a new generation of musicians capable of integrating national traditions into the global cultural context were analyzed.
Novelty. The scientific novelty of the research lies in revealing Ukrainian accordion pop-jazz performance of the early 21st century through a personalist dimension, which makes it possible to reinterpret the main trends in the development of this genre. For the first time, the modern tendencies in the evolution of accordion art have been systematized, taking into account the individual creative strategies of contemporary performers and composers.
The practical significance. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the possibility of using the research materials in educational and methodological work in academic institutions, particularly in the development of courses on the history of accordion art and pop-jazz performance. A foundation has been created for further scientific studies devoted to the development of personalist approaches in contemporary performance.
