Abstract

The article is devoted to contemporary Ukrainian ballet art. The main tendencies of the genre's development are investigated: orientation on innovative choreographic achievements of modern performers and producers, opening in the field of scenography, creation of remakes on classical works, using in ballet of non-ballet music, and others. The answers to questions of correlation of plastic and dance, music and choreographic component, various of genre and intonation models of modern ballet works (among them – ethnic variants) are considered.
