COMPOSER'S CREATIVITY OF OLENA SEROVA: TRADITIONS AND NOVATIONS

Abstract

The article outlines the peculiarities of the life and creative path of Ukrainian composer Olena Serova. The basic principles of author's creative thinking are highlighted. It is determined that her creative approach is tangent to the specifics of the guidelines, which are actualized in the culture of postmodern. The active participation of O. Serovoy in those projects that take place in the field of academic music, as an organizer, and as a direct participant are noticed. It is noted that in her works there is a combination of innovations and certain traditions. The starting point is an appeal to Ukrainian folklore, traditional genres and forms, as well as the use of elements of the leading composite techniques of the 20th century, somewhat of minimalism, of sonorism, which help to implement the desired image filling.
