Abstract

The article poses a questionof using photogrammetry methods for digitization and preservation of monuments of Ukrainian culture. The technology of creating a photogrammetric image is considered step by step, six stages of this process are highlighted and described. The first three sculptures for digitization in the city of Kharkiv have been identified.
Relevance of research. The question of preserving the cultural heritage of Ukraine during a full-scale invasion is not in doubt, especially when it comes to the city of Kharkiv. Since many cultural monuments, including sculptures in Ukraine are currently destroyed, damaged, or preserved, the problem of their protection becomes urgent.
The methodology is based on general scientific principles of objectivity, historicism andsystematic approach. The main method of this article was the interdisciplinary method – the application of the traditional geodetic method of photogrammetry in the cultural field. The axiological approach is relevant for research as a whole, including for assessing
the qualities, properties and artistic value of cultural monuments. The traditional for cultural studies phenomenological approach made it possible to consider the sculptural monuments of Kharkiv residents as a cultural phenomenon.

Scientific novelty. In Ukrainian scientific discourse, photogrammetry is traditionally considered as part of the specialties «Geodesy and Land Management» and «Earth Sciences». The possibilities of photogrammetry are offered for use in the educational process of the «Audiovisual Art» speciality. The European experiment concerning the use of photogrammetry for the preservation of cultural heritage is being revised.
The practical significance of this research resides in the beginning of the project to digitize cultural monuments in the city of Kharkiv, in particular the sculptures of KatibMamedov
