ARCHAEOLOGICAL MONUMENTS OF KANIV DNIPRO RIVER REGION IN CONTEXT OF CULTURAL HERITAGE PRESERVATION: HISTOTIOGRAPHICAL ASPECT

Abstract

The article is devoted to the historiographical analysis of protection and preservation of the archaeological
monuments of Kaniv Dnipro River Region in cultural heritage preservation context. It has been found out that the publications about the archaeological heritage preservation of Kaniv region are fragmented and relate to separate monuments or groups of monuments, previously located at Reserve areas. The special attention is paid to the works that highlight issues of preservation of Upper Paleolithic settlement in Mezhyrich village area like one of the most remarkable archaeological monuments in Europe. It was proved the need of further complex studying in the field of Kaniv region archaeological heritage preservation.
