THE PHENOMENON OF THE NATIONAL IN SOVIET CULTURE (ON THE EXAMPLE OF CHOREOGRAPHIC ART)
Keywords:
national, Soviet culture, choreographic art.
Abstract
The article examines the phenomenon of the national in Soviet culture using the example of choreographic art. It is argued that the gradual departure from the Stalinist formula «national form» of culture and the introduction of the formulation «national identity» in the USSR expanded the understanding that the national is manifested not only in form, but also in content. It is indicated that the concept of "national" in the stage choreographic art of the Soviet period can be considered in the optics of folk stage choreography, national ballet performance and ballroom dancing, but these phenomena, to varying degrees and in different ways, have adopted national characteristics
