MEDIA TRANSFORMATIONS AND EVENT TECHNOLOGIES IN MODERN THEATER CULTURE: UKRAINIAN CONTEXT

Abstract

The article provides a culturological analysis of contemporary theatrical art of Ukraine. Based on the study of Ukrainian theater studios of the first twenty years of the XXI century, the processes of transformation of classical theater and the emergence of new theater projects, mediatization, commercialization and massification of theater activities, integration into the world theater space, search for new meanings and forms of communication and representation. The influence of media and event technologies on theatrical culture in the context of modern pandemic challenges is analyzed. The ambivalence of media transformations and the use of event technologies in theater is determined. An attempt is made to identify the prospects for the development of a new Ukrainian theater in the context of socio-cultural change.
