TRADITIONAL MUSICAL CULTURE OF CHERNIHIV REGION IN THE CONTEXT OF SOCIO-CULTURAL DYNAMICS OF THE XX–ХХІ CENTURY

Abstract

Features of traditional musical culture of Chernihiv region are considered. The role of folklore as a component of intangible heritage, which reflects various historical and cultural factors that influence its modification, is outlined. The influence of globalization tendencies on the socio – cultural dynamics of the XX century and their role in the functioning of traditional music is highlighted. The traditional culture of Chernihiv region retains its essential features, its folklore heritage was formed as a result of interaction of different ethnic groups. It is investigated that in certain regions of Polissya there are centers where traditional musical culture continues to be a part of society. Folklore of Chernihiv region in the context of socio-cultural dynamics of the twentieth century retains its autochthonous character. Research ethnographic activity became more intensive, and folklore explorations began to be carried out systematically. The practice of organizing festivals and competitions in Chernihiv region, which are related to traditional music culture, also plays an important role.
