The purpose of the article is to identify the features of visualizing the inner experience of isolation in
contemporary Ukrainian painting during wartime and to determine the artistic means of its representation. The
methodology is based on art-historical, cultural and analytical approaches, including the analysis of contemporary
Ukrainian youth painting. The results of the study show that isolation functions not only as a thematic element but also
as a structural principle of artistic image formation. The main thematic groups reflecting different models of interpreting
reality have been identified, including war-related, inner-existential, identity-oriented, mythological-sacral and reflexive
approaches. It is determined that contemporary artistic practices demonstrate a shift from the representation of external
events to the visualization of internal psycho-emotional states.
The scientific novelty lies in defining isolation as a key category that shapes both the content and the structure of
artistic form in contemporary Ukrainian painting.
The conclusions indicate that under wartime conditions a new visual language is being formed, focused on
conveying complex existential states through symbolic imagery and minimal expressive means.
