THE CONCEPT OF «QUIET LUXURY» IN MODERN HAIR DESIGN

The article highlights the characteristic features of the concept of «Quiet luxury» in the design of modern women's hairstyles. Based on the analysis of the images of actresses Annabel Dexter-Jones, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lawrence, the stage of the prehistory of the direction is revealed, its basic characteristics are determined, including the advantage of the quality of materials, natural and neutral forms and colors, orientation to the classic style and versatility.
The innovative possibilities of the Air Touch dyeing technique are analyzed; the experience of hair designer Danylo Bozhych regarding its application in modern practices of women's hairstyles is studied.
The competition work of the author of the study Brailko I.A. is presented. (III place of the International CHAMPION FEST competition in the nomination «Trendy dyeing techniques», 2025, Kyiv, Ukraine. The stages and technology of dyeing women's hair using the Air Touch technique based on a natural intense ashy color with accents of a light powdery shade of blonde (powder blonde) are presented.
The research methodology is based on the use of an integrated approach with a combination of methods of analysis, synthesis and generalization of results, figurative-stylistic and formal analysis.
The scientific novelty lies in highlighting the basic provisions of the «Quiet luxury» concept, focused on the multidimensionality of color and minimalism. The practical significance lies in the possibility of applying the research results in theoretical courses on the history of design and hairdressing, as well as in the practices of modern hairstyles.
The purpose of this publication: to analyze the essence of the «Quiet luxury» concept in modern hairstyle design and identify means of its integration in terms of form-forming and coloristic aspects of creating a hairstyle image.
The article uses methods of analysis of modern trends in hair design, biographical, historical-chronological, figurative-stylistic and formal analysis. The results of the study can be used in the preparation of educational materials on the history of hair design and in the practices of hair styling and coloring.
