The article analyzes in detail the contribution of leading Ukrainian scholars who have significantly developed the
theory of national cultural space, focusing on their key works, conceptual innovations, and the intellectual heritage they
represent. Leading scholars create a discourse of intellectual and cultural elites in order to find ways to construct and
build Ukrainian identity, form national public consciousness, and state policy aimed at developing the processes of
Ukrainian statehood, emphasizing the relevance of scientific research in the process of nation-building. Methodology of
the work. The formation of a modern, holistic Ukrainian national identity and culture has historically encountered
significant sociopolitical obstacles, severe limitations, and tragic gaps, especially compared to the trajectories of most
Western European countries. Scientific novelty. The discourse of the national cultural space considers the formation of
society as a dynamic polyspheric integrity through communication, which encompasses public spheres with a distinct
Ukrainian identity at all levels of global, glocal and local communication. Conclusions.
The theory of the national cultural space appears not just as an academic study in the field of cultural studies, but
as a vital analytical basis for understanding and eliminating fundamental threats to the sovereignty and internal cohesion
of Ukraine. It is not static, but dynamically responds to new geopolitical, technological and socio-cultural and historical
realities. In accordance with this focus, conceptual models of the cultural space are substantiated, which take into
account global trends in cultural formation.
