FROM THE STUDIO TO THE INTERNATIONAL MARKET: EXHIBITIONS AND AUCTIONS OF VIKTOR ROMANOVICH EFIMENKO'S WORKS

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze the work of Viktor Romanovych Efymenko, in particular his international activities and participation in exhibitions and auctions, to assess the influence of Ukrainian artistic traditions and European artistic trends on his work.
Research methodology. The study is based on a comprehensive analysis of V. Efymenko's work using the following main methods: systemic analysis was used to assess the commercial and cultural significance of the works, the relationship between artistic value and demand on the international market; the method of systematization and classification was used to systematize in a table data on exhibitions and auction sales, which allowed to organize information by date, place of holding and cost of works, identify trends and trace the dynamics of demand for the artist's work.
Scientific novelty. The study comprehensively analyzes V. Yefymenko's participation in international exhibitions and auctions, reveals the influence of the European art environment on his painting, and also fills the gap in the study of the commercial and cultural significance of the artist's work on the international market.
Conclusions. People's Artist of Ukraine Viktor Romanovych Yefymenko is an outstanding representative of Ukrainian classical painting, whose works are distinguished by realistic composition, bright colors and impressionistic rendering of light and mood. Active participation in foreign exhibitions in Belgium, France, Holland and Monaco, as well as cooperation with European galleries and sale of works at auctions confirm the rather high demand and commercial value of his work, which has been growing in recent years, and demonstrates the successful combination of Ukrainian traditions with modern European artistic trends.
