CREATIVE ACTIVITY OF THE NATIONAL HONORED BANDURIST CAPELLA OF UKRAINE NAMED AFTER H.I. MAIBORODA IN THE SOCIO-HISTORICAL CONTEXT OF 2013-2024

Abstract

This study investigates the creative activity of the National Honored Bandurist Capella of Ukraine named after H.Maiboroda within the socio-historical context of 2013-2024. The research outlines the key stages of the capella‘s development in the context of the national liberation struggle in Ukraine. It characterizes the concert and touring activities of the capella under the direction of chief conductor, People's Artist of Ukraine Yuriy Kurach (2013-2024), and the artistic contributions of artistic directors and conductors, composers and arrangers in the formation of the ensemble‘s performance style. The study emphasizes the capella's cultural and artistic activities, which are closely connected with the socio-historical events of 2013-
2024. It also identifies significant ensemble forms of concert performance activity. The artistic programs are systematized, representing a diverse genre and stylistic repertoire. The cooperation of the bandura players‘ capella with opera and chamber singers, composers, and masters of the spoken word is traced. Examples of joint projects with public organizations, musical groups, and creative unions are analyzed in this study. It concludes that today, the National Honored Bandurist Capella of Ukraine named after H. Maiboroda is recognized as a musical collective that popularizes and preserves national cultural heritage, promotes patriotic values, and represents bandura performance both in Ukraine and abroad.
