STYLE CREATING PRINCIPLES OF FORMS OF SILVER AND PORCELAIN VESSELS OF THE 18 th – 19 th CENTURIES

Abstract

The purpose is to determine the main stylistic principles of the forms of silver and porcelain tableware of the XVIII-XIX centuries. The borrowed and transformed characteristics of the formation of products of European production are determined.

Results. It has been found that in the first half of the XVIII century. In the culture serving the table of monarchs and representatives of the elite of the leading states of Europe, silverware dominated. In the middle of this century, a assortment of early European manufactories – Meissen (Germany), Saint Cloud (France), Chelsea and Wedgwood (Great Britain) have been revealed. In Ukrainian production, a similar stylistic transformation of tableware was found at the Baranivka Porcelain Factory and the Kyiv-Mezhyhirya Faience Factory.
Research methodology. The study applies general scientific principles, methods and approaches. Principles of comprehensiveness, historical-chronological, historical-comparative, historical-cultural methods, art historical analysis and cross-cultural methods are applied.
Novelty. It is associated with the establishment of the between the formation of silver and porcelain in the late XVIII – early XIX centuries.
The practical significance. The obtained results expand the sources of inspiration for the motifs of the formation and decoration of porcelain in Europe and Ukraine. In addition, they allow to complete the history of decorative and
applied arts, in particular the field of ceramics.combination of precious metal and porcelain from China was traced. From the second half of the XVIII to the XIX
