CULTURE MANAGEMENT WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF CONTEMPORARY CULTURE POLITICS
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present the interconnection and dynamics of culture management‘s functioning within the context of applied cultural studies and culture politics, to uncover the tendencies of contemporary changes of this type of management activities.
Research methodology. A combination of theoretical and empirical research methods (generalization, juxtaposition, comparison, analysis, synthesis, modeling) allows to broaden the research within the context of cultural studies paradigm and system-based approach; studying culture as a whole, correspondence of cultural practices with a culture politics model, and taking into account the dynamics of culture creation processes provides a foundation for designing an effective sociocultural processes management system.
Results. Investigation of culture management within the context of contemporary culture politics provides aiming and search for resources for cultural resistance and further formation of our country‘s national identity and international membership within the field of cultur. Nowadays this type of management activities is based on transformations of culture
politics‘ priorities. It is reflected on formats and essentials of cultural interaction. If instead culture politics is considered a mechanism that launches the culture creation process on all levels of functioning (global, international, regional as in world region, national, local within country), the strategy of country‘s culture politics may be viewed as its mission and one can
strive to briefly formulate the idea as a slogan with further explication and explanation. Entire country‘s culture politics strategy (mission) with its history, contemporary contradictions, and characteristic features of each region is rather hard to formulate. In contemporary state of the country it may be: «From defense and victory to free leadership and cultural union». If one attempts to interpret this expression within the context of culture politics, a model may be created, in which the keywords will be: defense, victory, will, leadership, culture, union.
Novelty lies in presenting the culture politics model of the transformation period, which will ensure functioning and renewal of cultural practices of post-war times within the context of applied cultural studies as a science field.
The practical significance lies in an opportunity to utilize the proposed model of Ukraine‘s contemporary culture politics to develop and realize sociocultural programs and projects in post-war times.
