SPECIAL EVENTS AND EVENT TECHNOLOGIES AS FACTORS OF INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF CULTURAL LEISURE ACTIVITY

Abstract

Formulation of the problem. Innovative processes are necessary for modern society in the socio-cultural sphere, in particular special events and event technologies, which are based on social creativity and creative management activity as a manifestation of a new form – an event that should not only correspond to the present, but also foresee the prospects for the further development of culture. Due to its relative novelty, event management is not a well-grounded direction of scientific research from the point of view of methodology and practice. The conceptual, theoreticalmethodological, and methodological-applied foundations of its construction and use in the activities of cultural institutions are considered by domestic and foreign scientists in a fragmentary manner, which actualizes the need to solve a wide range of tasks in this context, the key ones of which are the theoretical substantiation of the essence of the concept of event management and the separation its characteristic features.
Review of recent publications. Special events in cultural and recreational activities are developing quite dynamically. Event technologies and event management are studied by O. Radionova [3; 5], who believes that event technology means transforming an event through auxiliary effects into something absolutely exceptional from the point of view of visitors, and the success of event technology is based on careful planning and impeccable organization of
each event. I. Petrova investigates the problems of transformation of leisure organization [2; 19], which claims that the sphere of leisure combines the most diverse types of human life, because a person at leisure is not limited by external factors and depends only on his internal desires and preferences. Features of modern event technologies, their application in the organization of leisure time are disclosed in the collective monograph (Cultural and leisure activities in the modern world) by M. Pashkevich [1; 278], who believes that nowadays events are not widely recognized as an artistic phenomenon, the prevailing attitude towards the organization of an event is a process that does not require special skills and abilities. Features of the development and application of event management were monitored by N. Tsimbalyuk [4; 120], she asserts the need for the application of different levels of technology, which is caused by the purpose, tasks and scale of those social changes that technological activity was aimed at stimulating.
The purpose of the article is to determine the features of managing special events and event technologies in the process of their introduction in the socio-cultural sphere.
