Abstract
The article highlights the social and cultural preconditions for the formation of media art and the features of the current stage of its development. The expressive possibilities of media art and new strategies of artistic creativity are analyzed. Media art is conceptualized as a new cultural phenomenon that differs from traditional arts in material, temporal and visual parameters. It is substantiated that the development of media art leads to the emergence of cultural texts of new quality, the specifics of which are hybridity, procedurality, high information capacity, powerful immersive influence, interactivity and more. The functions of media art during the war are analyzed on the example of Ukrainian NFT-art.
