Abstract

The article deals with the main concepts of the evolution of mankind, which fit into the framework of the
historical materialistic paradigms and evolutionary creationism of the Old Earth considered in the writings of ХХ-th and early ХХ1-st centuries by philosophers (Leslie White, Julian Steward, Gerhard Lenski, Marvin Harris, Arnold Toynbee). Their main ideas were compared with the opinions of leading thinkers of the late XIX-th and the first half of the ХХ-th century (Berdiaev N. A., Danilevskiy N. Y.).
