CONCEPTUAL VIEWS ON THE PHENOMENON OF STAGE SPACE IN D. LIDER CREATIVE SCHOOL
Abstract
The outstanding theatrical artist Danilo Lider became one of the leading creators of the new art and aesthetic school of scenography which was called «effective scenography» which provided an appeal to meaningful allegorical and unfinished images. Her characteristic «great style» of revealing the significant problems of human existence by means of art emphasized the semantic side of the scenery practiced the eclecticism of styles and genres the denial of the linear narrative and preferred the visual aspect. The theatrical space itself appeared in his understanding as a «code system». D. Lider believed that a theater artist without waiting for the general concept of the play from the director should independently process the material and offer scenery that creates but also possibly dictates the artistic and aesthetic direction of the future theatrical performance. Putting himself at the epicenter of the search for an image of action where the whole mystery of the master's scenography was born synthesizing various artistic and scenographic styles based on the history of the national color of the Ukrainian mentality. The worldview of the time of interethnic cultures reflected the artistic views of the master.
