THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL BASES OF STUDYING THE PHENOMENON OF IMITATION IN THE MODUS OF HUMANITARIAN KNOWLEDGE OF THE ХVІІІ-ХХ CENTURIES

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the imitation phenomenon in the modus of humanitarian knowledge of the XVIII-XX centuries. It turned out that the phenomenon of imitation is considered by scientists from different methodological positions and in various discourses. It is argued that it was during this historical period that the first fundamental works were created in which imitation is studied as an integral sociocultural phenomenon. It was revealed that imitation is an ambivalent phenomenon, the study of which requires an interdisciplinary approach. It is proved that the problem of imitation remains relevant for modern society.
