POSTAGE STAMPS OF THE WESTERN UKRAINE REPUBLIC 1918–1919 IN THE HISTORICAL-CULTURAL PARADIGM

Abstract

An overview of postage stamps of the Western Ukrainian People's Republic that were introduced into post
circulation in 1918-1919 is presented. The process of transformation of postal stamps from the state of the state-owned and world-wide significance to the state of cultural and historical monuments is considered. The measures aimed at the development of the initial period of Ukrainian express marketing are described. The intelligence was carried out on the basis of cataloged postage stamps of the Western Ukrainian People's Republic of 1918-1919, which is characterized by a complex and multidisciplinary informative structure. The figurative aspect of the trademark provided an opportunity for perception of information, which plays an important role in the process of scientific and cognitive, state-building activities. Postage stamps, as an element of the statehood of Ukraine in the first half of the twentieth century, represent
political and economic documents that, in a unique way, fixed the socio-economic and cultural life of that time and they also formed the basis of the national publication of stamps.
