The article examines the specific features of the design process for military pilots' clothing, a complex,
multifunctional object that integrates protective, ergonomic, aesthetic, and identification properties. The relevance of
the study is обусловлена the need to rethink traditional approaches to the development of flight gear in light of
advances in innovative materials, digital technologies, and increasing demands for functionality and comfort. Modern
scientific approaches to the design of specialized clothing are analyzed, focusing on ergonomics, anthropometry, visual
identity, and technological innovation. It is determined that military pilots' clothing should be considered as an
integrated system in which structural, compositional, and symbolic elements interact. The necessity of a comprehensive
design approach that accounts for both the product's functional and expressive characteristics is substantiated. Purpose.
To provide a comprehensive justification of the principles of designing military pilots' clothing, taking into account the
interaction of functional, ergonomic, artistic-compositional, and technological factors. Methodology. System-structural,
comparative-analytical, and historical-typological methods were used, along with methods of generalizing scientific
sources and project analysis. Results. The main factors in the design of military pilots' clothing are identified, and the
role of ergonomic, anthropometric, and technological parameters in ensuring product functionality is determined. The
importance of artistic and compositional organization, as well as symbolic elements, in shaping the professional image
of a pilot is substantiated. Scientific novelty. The results lie in a comprehensive interpretation of flight gear not only as
specialized clothing, but also as a multi-level design object formed at the intersection of utilitarian, expressive, and
communicative factors. Practical significance. The results of the study can be used to develop modern flight gear,
improve design methods for specialized clothing, establish educational disciplines within academic programs, and
support further research in the field of military clothing design.
