The purpose of the article is to investigate the interpretation of vocal image as a component of the performer's acting skills, with an emphasis on the concepts of «vocal image» and «actor's interpretation».
The research methodology is based on a review and synthesis of modern scientific publications and pedagogical materials related to vocal expression, acting training and bodily expression in performance. An interdisciplinary approach was used: musicological analysis of vocal-acoustic parameters, a review of acting systems (K. Stanislavsky, actor-oriented approaches to singing), research on the connection between movement and voice (Laban movement analysis), as well as empirical articles on neuro- and psycholinguistics that study the perception of emotions in the voice.
Scientific novelty. For the first time, the interpretation of vocal image as a psychophysical process that integrates vocal technique, acting action and bodily expressiveness in the formation of a holistic stage character has been systematically substantiated.
Practical significance. The results of the study can be used in teaching acting and vocals, in developing integrated curricula for training actor-vocalists, and in improving stage training methods.
