Abstract

The aim of this article is to analyze methodological approaches to the organization of cinematic lighting in a limited budget and identifying practical solutions for the effective formation of artistic space, the emotional tone of the scene and the visual style of the film with minimal resources.
Research methodology. The paper uses methods of theoretical analysis, comparative review, case-stud, as well as generalization of practical experience of independent filmmakers. Various options for using natural and artificial lighting, low-key lighting methods, methods of combining light sources, as well as planning lighting solutions at the pre-production stage were analyzed.
Results. It is established that low-budget projects can achieve a high artistic result due to the use of natural light, low-power LED panels and improvised materials. It offers optimization of technical equipment and use of low-key lighting to reduce costs. The psychological impact of lighting on the viewer and ways to control the emotional perception of the scene are determined. Promising directions for further research are also outlined – the integration of virtual studios, mobile applications for controlling light and the development of innovative technologies for nonstandard shooting conditions. Also the results of the study proved the feasibility of a creative approach to organizing cinematic lighting with limited resources. A rational combination of available technical means and thoughtful light planning allows you to create a high-quality cinematic product without significant costs.
The scientific novelty of the study is the systematization of practical methods of economical cinematic lighting, adaptation of classical lighting schemes to the conditions of modern low-budget production and substantiation of the psychological impact of light decisions on the emotional perception of the viewer.
The practical significance. The possibility of direct application by independent filmmakers and students of specialized specialties to organize high-quality cinematic lighting in a limited budget, as well as to optimize resources during the filming of low-budget projects.
