VIDEO DESIGN AS A MODERN TOOL FOR CREATING INNOVATIVE PICTURE LEXICAN OF STAGE SPACE

The purpose of the article is to identify the features of the innovative figurative vocabulary of video design in the context of the specifics of the stage space.
Research methodology. The methods of analysis and synthesis, the typological method, the method of system analysis, the method of comparative analysis, the method of art historical analysis and the method of generalization were applied.
Scientific novelty. The features of video design were studied through the prism of the problems of image creation in stage art. Based on the analysis of scientific literature, the concepts of <image creation= and <video design= were clarified. A definition of video design in stage art (the process of creating artistic design of stage space using technical and creative aspects of video content in the form of a static or dynamic image in order to enhance the spectacularity of the visual series and the ideological sound of the production) and its typology (by type of projections, image dynamics, creation technologies, type of stage space, type of stage action) were proposed.
Practical significance. The material expands information on the use of web design in contemporary performing arts.
