Abstract

The purpose of the article is to analyze what were the peculiarities of the study of artistic creativity in antiquity, what theoretical potential the ancient heritage has in understanding the phenomenon of artistic creativity, which can be useful in the modern cultural discourse.
The methodological basis of the study is the use of theoretical tools developed in modern science, which allows to analyze the essential characteristics of artistic creativity with a sufficient degree of completeness, reflecting in its essential basis both phenomenological and ontological parameters of its social functioning. At the same time, it turns out to be effective to apply such methods as the method of system-structural analysis, the method of comparativism, which allow analyzing the essence and nature of the phenomenon of artistic creativity, the vectors of research of this artistic phenomenon as an important component of contemporary theoretical discourse.
The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that artistic creativity is for the first time considered in the context of comprehension, a very complex phenomenon that has acquired, of course, sometimes unusual and hence complicated forms in the modern socio-cultural space, and the initial attempts to comprehend it, which were embodied in the works of ancient authors. The results of research. The article reveals the heuristically significant potential of the ideas of ancient philosophers in the context of clarifying the essential parameters of the phenomenon of artistic creativity at the present stage of development of science. Thus, the article shows that such ancient thinkers as Plato, Aristotle and a number of others managed to analyze the gigantic scope of all human relations to the world, and, at the same time, made a huge contribution to a specific matter 3 a deep interpretation of the creative process in art, revealed the most important regularities of the phenomenon of artistic creativity at the modern stage of cultural development, which became the basis for further searches and theoretical achievements by subsequent philosophers and philosophical schools.
