Topicality. Plagiarism in the field of art is the use of someone else's ideas, compositions, stylistics, or even elements of a work without citing the author or obtaining appropriate permissions, a problem that is increasingly difficult to deal with in educational institutions of artistic direction. Copying, using the concepts of other artists without transformation or presenting them as one's own is happening more and more often.
The purpose of the article is to consider the problem of plagiarism in fine arts, copyright, analyze tracking and possible ways to eliminate cases.
The research methodology is complex and determined by the goal of the article. In the research process, the methods of analysis and synthesis were used, which were applied to consider the theoretical foundations, the comparative method, which was aimed at identifying various aspects of understanding the cause of the problem, as well as the methods of abstraction, generalization, and specification.
Scientific novelty consists in making an attempt to reveal the above-mentioned problem. The work considers the most significant methods and ways of overcoming it.
It is emphasized that visual art owes the initial development of creative plagiarism to mass enthusiasm for networks and applications for artists, although it is known that creative plagiarism took place in the distant times of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Over the past few years, the number of works created by artificial intelligence, based on the work of famous artists, has increased. Works of this kind appear more and more often as original works of artists. This phenomenon is especially common among student youth. Stopping and identifying the flow of plagiarism is becoming more and more difficult, and it often becomes a problem for academic supervisors and teachers of art educational institutions.
The conclusions state that the problem of creative plagiarism in fine arts remains unresolved, despite numerous attempts to resolve the situation. The problem harms authors, the artistic community in general, reduces the uniqueness of creativity and violates intellectual property rights. The fight against plagiarism in art requires a complex approach - legal, ethical and technological. Protecting the rights of artists, creating a culture of originality, and implementing modern technologies can help minimize plagiarism.
