Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to trace the development of artistic photography and, using the example of an exhibition project by photographer Svitlana Tkachenko, to outline the emergence of new forms of visual content.
Research methodology. The following general scientific methods were used in the course of the study: subjectanalytical, system-analytical, typological and historical-cultural, which ensured the objectivity and validity of the results obtained in the context of the stated research problem.
Results. The main aspects of the emergence and development of pictorial photography and its influence on the creation of new visual content in the field of artistic photography are traced. Particular attention is paid to the coverage of the creative work of individual Ukrainian pictorialist artists of the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries, who were involved in global artistic processes and contributed to the popularisation of Ukrainian photographic art on the international stage. The evolution of photographyapos;s artistic status is examined4as a form of visual art that, in its formal techniques and creative essence, is akin to the painting and graphic works of the great masters of world art. The formation of the new artistic trend4neo-pictorialism4is traced through the example of an exhibition project by the photographer S.Tkachenko. The study identifies the key features of the neo-pictorialist creative method, its connection to artistic traditions, its engagement with contemporary technological innovations, and the integration of artificial intelligence tools in the process of creative experimentation.
Scientific Novelty. For the first time, the term neo-pictorialism is introduced into academic discourse. The study explores the origins of its emergence as a new artistic trend within the framework of contemporary visual practices and technological innovations.
The practical significance. This research may serve as a foundation for the formulation and definition of the concept of neo-pictorialism in reference and encyclopedic publications. It can also be incorporated into sections of manuals or textbooks dedicated to the study of trends and new directions in the development of contemporary artistic photography.
