VOLODYMYR HRUDYN’S PIANOFORTE HERITAGE: THE MUSICAL PERFORMANCE ASPECT

Abstract

Piano creativity with vivid and emotional content of the prominent Ukrainian composer Volodymyr Hrudyn almost unknown circle of musicians. The second part of his life, the artist spent in terms of emigration in the United States. Part of the works written prior to 1940 year, preserved in the Department of music of the holdings of the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine thanks to the eldest daughter of Mykola Lysenko – Kateryna Lysenko (married name is Maslianikova, 1880–1948). An attempt was made to fully apply the information about little-known composer in Ukraine. The musical aesthetic analysis of the piano cycles and individual works for both young and mature pianists is filed.
