VARIETY SPECIFICITY OF FEMALE ENSEMBLE PERFORMANCE IN UKRAINE

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to study the pop specificity of women's ensemble performance in Ukraine, the formation and development of creative activity of a number of pop women's vocal ensembles, based on their more than half a century of practical experience, to describe the repertoire component of some musical ensembles (taken selectively) and give them an artistic and critical assessment, to determine the personal contribution of the ensemble director to the creative life of the ensemble, to point out the high professional level of creative activity of amateur and professional female pop ensembles.
The article examines the specifics of female pop vocal performance in Ukraine in the second half of the twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. The author analyses the creative activity of female vocal ensembles that have gained wide popularity and become a standard of pop art.
The methodology of the study consists in the application of methods of analysis and synthesis, systematisation of facts, comparison and generalisation of the research results. The systemic-historical method made it possible to study the stages of formation and development of pop vocal performance in Ukraine.
Results. The factors of influence on the formation of pop specificity of vocal performance and the level of interaction of stylistic and genre directions of the repertoire are determined.
Scientific novelty. For the first time, the pop specificity is considered in the context of the work of female vocal ensembles, which laid the foundations of modern popular music, an innovative approach to the repertoire, stage interpretation and popularisation of national song culture.
