Abstract

The aim of this paper is to summarize information about the library and information resource of the Pedagogical Museum of Ukraine, which is based on the museum's funds and consists of thematic book collections and publishing series, to present its structure and content to the scientific community.
Research methodology. A scientific-methodological toolkit was used, the basis of which consists of systematic, historical-logical methodological approaches and general scientific methods of theoretical analysis, synthesis, abstraction, concretization, generalization.
Results. It was established that the fund of the Pedagogical Museum of Ukraine as of December 31, 2022 is 46,912 storage units. The fund includes several collections of the most valuable book monuments, which are grouped by chronological and typeface: incunabula, old prints in Latin script of the 16th–18th centuries, old Cyrillic prints of the 17 th–beginning 20 th century, edition of the civil press of the 18th – first third of the 20 th century, Journals of pedagogical and historical-cultural topics 1834-1923, Ukrainian pedagogic editions1842-1923. Concepts of creation and content of 9 issues of the museum publishing series «Pedagogical Re-publications» (founded in 2014) and 6 issues of the publishing series «Library Fund of the Pedagogical Museum» (founded in 2015) are presented. It is well-founded that by carrying out publishing activities and thereby popularizing its library and information resource, the Pedagogical Museum of Ukraine forms and promotes a positive image of the museum in society, popularizes museum collections and expands the scope of educational activities.
Novelty. For the first time, the library and information resource of the Pedagogical Museum is presented in a complete form as a set of organized documented information, designed to meet the informational, research, educational and cultural needs of users. It has been proven that realizing the right of equal access of citizens to cultural heritage, the Pedagogical Museum of Ukraine digitizes its funds and popularizes its collections among the general public through publishing activities. It is argued that the publishing series «Pedagogical Re-publications» and «Library Fund of the Pedagogical Museum» initiated by the museum are a component of the library and information resource, broadcasting and integrating the Ukrainian national pedagogical heritage into the global information and communication space.
