Abstract

The categories «chorea» and «аretea» provide an opportunity to approach the image of music by I. Stravinsky in the context of its synthetism and syncretism. The point is that, by its nature, Stravinsky, as a composer of synthetic type, was born to syncretism, that is, to the integrity of music, which cannot be decomposed into elements of synthesis. Stravinsky is a neophyte in religious music, his religiosity, like many philosophers and artists of the Silver Age, has emerged as a rejection of elemental atheism and positivism. Hence, such a pagan campaign in antiquity, pre-Christian culture.
