Abstract

An overview of the creative work of the famous Podil writer Pyotr Ivanovich Malysh is presented, in which an
important place belongs to the Ukrainians' understanding of their own history, criticism of imperial myths, analysis of
the complex path of state formation, praise of the indomitable spirit of sacrifice for freedom, which is the Symbolic
thing with which the categories «Ukrainian people» are associated, «Ukrainian nation». The collection «Moscow Lies»
is considered, which contains journalistic and analytical materials that are devastating to the myths and dogmas created by Kremlin propaganda during the last three hundred years. The book «Blessed and Sinners» by Pyotr Malysh was analyzed, which included prose miniatures, short stories and short stories that encourage the search for true, real sessions in human life. It was found that the above-mentioned books by P. Malysh, although they differ from each other in their genre palette, are nevertheless consistent in their thematic content, because they combine the leitmotif of the indomitable strength of the Ukrainian people, which is based on love and respect for the native land. It is emphasized separately that the thematic range of Petr Malysh's creative output is extremely relevant in our time. His work overcomes the boundaries of the chronotope and is a valuable achievement of the cultural and artistic life of Podillia.
