GENDER ASPECTS OF STUDYING THE PEOPLE'S TRADITION OF THE OLD BELIEVERS OF BESSARABIA
Abstract
Old Belief is a special cultural phenomenon, manifested in the preservation of the main typological properties of the culture and life of pre-Petrine Russia – from religious, ideological and ritual to material and everyday life.
Research methodology. The author in the article relied on the methods of folkloristics in reliance on expeditionary material
Results. The role of women in Old Believer society for various historical and psychological reasons has always been high and largely determined the atmosphere of spiritual life in n society in the early periods of the history of the Old Believers, and in later times. Familiarity with the folklore tradition of Bessarabian women-Old Believers, which is represented by different genres of calendar-ritual, family-household and epic groups, convincingly demonstrates the high degree of influence and importance of the role in preserving folk culture in modern women of Old Believers. In the life and work of women of the Old Believer tradition, the paradigmatic characteristics of the Slavic woman and Slavic culture in general are highlighted, which are especially acute in extreme states of suffering and compassion.
Novelty. for the first time in domestic science, the features of the manifestation of the creative beginning of women-Old Believers in the field of folklore were revealed.
