Abstract

The article considers the peculiarities of the artistic process of Ivano-Frankivsk in the late 1980s and mid-1990 s, in particular such significant events for the city as the International Art Biennale «Impreza», which became an expression of a kind of «Stanislavsky phenomenon». The process of organizing the first art biennial «Impreza» in 1989 is analyzed and a general description of all five exhibitions is given. The achievements of Ivano-Frankivsk artists are focused on, as well as their contribution to the artistic development of the city is determined. The sequence of influence of Impreza art exhibitions on the formation of the Stanislavsky Phenomenon is revealed through the prism of personal creative achievements of Ivano-Frankivsk masters.
