The paper considers the study of archaeological musical instruments found on the territory of Ukraine and their introduction into scientific circulation. Synchronous-comparative analysis of these musical artefacts with the same-type instruments of the Ancient World civilizations showed that fossil musical instruments from the territory of Ukraine belong to the most ancient among the world-known archaeological analogues.
