The goal is to determine the artistic features of the art design works of Amvrosy Zhdakha of the early 20 th century (interiors, furniture, screens, porcelain works, stoves), the visualization of which was carried out on December 31, 2025 by Andriy Protsenko and posted on the social network «Facebook».
Results. Thus, the visualization of art design works by Amvrosy Zhdakha of the early 20 th century (interiors, furniture, porcelain works, screens) made possible by artificial intelligence (processing Chat GPT), which was shared on December 31, 2025 by Andriy Protsenko on the social network «Facebook», allowed not only to more clearly understand the constructive, compositional and artistic features of the creative heritage of the outstanding artist and designer, but also gave impetus to the real reproduction of these works in the material.
In general, it is worth noting that after the publication of visualizations of the aforementioned projects by Amvrosy Zhdakha, some of which were based on the principles of Ukrainian Baroque, and others were related to the ideas of modernism and art deco, the analysis of furniture practitioners gave impetus to considering this part of the legacy of the outstanding master not only in the context of the "Zakopane" style, as was previously accepted, but also allowed us to consider these developments from the perspective of Bavarian artistic heritage.
The realized visualizations gave a clearer understanding of the author's understanding of the details of the carving of benches, chairs, sets of armchairs and banquettes, benches-bombettes, sofa corners with a slide, dressing tables, tables, chests, sideboards, kitchen buffets with ceramic and faience dishes, ombré tables, screens, chests of drawers, shelves, universal
furniture of the type of sketchbook-easel-music stand for storing notes, paint palettes, newspapers and magazines, as well as
an idea of what the stoves and porcelain products designed by the artist-designer could look like. It is worth dwelling separately on the forms of dishes presented in the interiors (the dishpan of the kitchen buffet) and in individual projects (cups with saucers). All the dishes proposed by Amvrosy Zhdakha did not imitate any specific forms of well-known productions.
Just as the unique elements in the stove ensemble were designed (a crown in the form of plastically resolved sunflower motifs
and individual tiles in the form of a tree of life with a painted sunflower), the artist proposed to decorate the environment with
household objects. In particular, a jug of the type of milk jug with a lid, plates of various diameters with decorative ornaments
with floral and geometric motifs, a high-necked ladle on a cork, a pepper in the design of the decoration of the bottom of
which indicates that the product is intended for a chain, and, accordingly, a goblet, as well as a sugar bowl on a leg with a lid
resembling a creamer, a glass-crusher, a masquerade, a teacup with a saucer, a flower vase, a glass. The decor of some objects
with fuzzy silhouettes or lines of the drawing was presented more clearly and somewhat refined by artificial intelligence.
In general, it should be noted that starting with the reconstruction of the interior in the folk style, when visualizing which
one can better see the details, Amvrosy Zhdakha moved from the idea of Taras Shevchenko with «Picturesque Ukraine», as
evidenced by his marginal notes in the margins of manuscripts to project folders. This allowed him to focus attention in his
works on several factors at once: significant events, milestones or key works of the historical past, monuments related to the
ethnocultural traditions of individual regions (in particular, his native Budzhak, with Turkish-Moldovan influences on Ukrainian art and design of the environment and furniture; Volhynia and Podillia with the influences of the Zakopane style), and style creation, which could consolidate the achievements of Central and Northern Ukraine (Kyiv region – Kirovohrad region) with the heritage of individual territories of Western Ukraine. At the same time, the author demonstrated erudition in knowledge of the best contemporary artistic achievements of modernism and art deco, to which he also paid tribute.
The research methodology consists of a combination of the method of historical reconstruction, the method of visualization with the method of content analysis, as well as ontological, axiological, semiotic, hermeneutic, historicalgenetic, historical-chronological, comparative, historical-cultural, sociocultural, cross-cultural, cultural-creative, formalstylistic, typological, and art historical analysis methods.
Novelty. The novelty of the research lies in the understanding of the visualization of individual interior projects, furnishings, and ceramic forms by Amvrosy Zhdakha and the art historical analysis of the artistic and figurative features of his work.
Practical significance. The results obtained allow us to understand the specifics of Amvrosy Zhdakha's art design achievements, presented in the visualization of his environmental and industrial design projects, some of which, thanks to AI and the presence of customers for such works, can be reproduced and implemented in reality. What the author conceived over a hundred years ago (most of the ideas date back to 1919), will now have the opportunity to become real works of art design or reconstruction of entire interiors. This makes it possible to think about creating a Museum of the outstanding designer and artist of the late 19 th and early 20 th centuries, Amvrosy Zhdakha.
