Abstract

Communicology, as an interdisciplinary discipline, integrates methods from linguistics, sociology, psychology, philosophy, and information sciences to study complex communicative processes. The article analyzes the main theoretical paradigms of communication 3 informational, interactional, semiotic, critical, and systemic 3 focusing on their evolution, methodological foundations, and impact on contemporary communicative practices. Special attention is given to the role of digital technologies, globalization, and intercultural communication in transforming these paradigms. The challenges of information inequality, disinformation, and ethical issues related to automated systems are highlighted. The article emphasizes the importance of an interdisciplinary approach in adapting communicology to the realities of the information society and suggests directions for future research, particularly in improving methods for analyzing digital and intercultural communications. It is intended for researchers, educators, and practitioners interested in communicative processes and their interdisciplinary study.
