The aim of this study is to explore the intrinsic relationship between the theoretical contributions of leading Ukrainian avant-garde artists and their artistic practice.
Research methodology. The analysis draws upon twelve publications relevant to the article9s subject matter. The study identifies key trends, and examines specific features and characteristic traits of the discourse.
Results. The research establishes that the dissemination of avant-garde movements permeated all spheres of artistic life in Ukraine during the 192031930 s. It demonstrates how educational institutions served as testing grounds for the theoretical developments of avant-garde artists, where methodological foundations for non-traditional pedagogy were laid and experimental teaching practices were implemented. Selected avant-garde concepts developed by Ukrainian artists are examined, alongside an analysis of major works representative of each masters unique style. The study also reveals the influence of studio heads and professors on the creative formation of their students.
Scientific novelty. The research identifies a logical continuity between theoretical frameworks, educational processes, and the practical formation of a new artistic milieu shaped by dominant avant-garde trends.
Practical significance. The findings of the study are of value to art historians, educators in fine arts and design isciplines, as well as students specializing in these fields.
