CHARACTERISTIC FEATURES OF SPECIAL EVENTS MANAGEMENT IN THE MODERN CULTURE CREATION PROCESS

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to investigate and generalize ideas about dynamics of culture by means of event technologies, to determine characteristic features of special events management in the modern socio-cultural situation.
Research methodology. The complex research methodology is based on philosophical and cultural paradigm, uses systematic, dialectical scientific approaches. Methods of analysis, synthesis, generalization, comparison of scientific positions are used. Thanks to applied methodological background, the main theoretical foundations of special events organization in the process of contemporary culture dynamics were clarified.
Results. In the course of the research, it was found that culture creation is an activity and sphere of reproduction and development of supra-biological essence of a person, it represents actualization of universal meanings of culture, their transformation and establishment at a certain stage of historical process. The process and result of culture creation depend on a creative person and the necessary team of specialists. The task is to create conditions for organization of cultural life using the necessary resources, including special events. It was determined that a special event is an activity that is purposefully organized to broadcast an idea, value, message that reflects the achievement of worldview, axiological values of the community. Creation of a special event today is aimed at creating mythology, but has a strategic task – the formation of symbolic capital. Organizing a special event is a way of generating and integrating meaning into public cultural space. An event is a series of events asserting a certain meaning and value, which affects public consciousness, integrates subjects of society, and involves them in joint interaction in the field of culture.
Novelty. For the first time, the significance of special events in the cultural process was determined. An interpretation of the essence of event in cultural dynamics was provided. Characteristic features of contemporary event technologies were defined.
Practical significance. Organization of contemporary special events requires special tools for implementation in a safe environment, by a competent team of like-minded people, taking into account the need to deliver relevant messages of national culture creation to the consumer.
