EXHIBITION ACTIVITIES OF UKRAINIAN ARTISTS IN TIME OF WAR AND ABOUT WAR

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyze the exhibition activity of Ukrainian artists during the war and considered works on war themes.

Research methodology. A number of exhibitions were analyzed, as well as a review of articles about exhibition projects, reviews in online publications, both Ukrainian and foreign, related to artistic activities.

Results. It was noted that since the beginning of the invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine on February 24, 2022, artists began to work actively, because art is also a weapon and a means with which you can influence the environment. It was found that during this period, the artist’s intuitive feelings sharpen, as a result of which they create unique emotional images of the world, expressing their attitude to war events. An analysis of the material about exhibitions of various types of art was carried out, important topics of today and messages of artists to society were highlighted. Through the analysis of artistic expositions and author's works, the salient features of the work of leading Ukrainian artists were analyzed.

Novelty. The researched material showed the leading trends that prevail today in art about war and are popularized not only in Ukraine, but also abroad.

The practical significance. The material will be useful for artists, art critics and cultural figures, whose important task is to show military art, talk about it, analyze and spread it in Ukraine and beyond, because this is our cultural and artistic front, which the whole world is watching. The material of the article can be used for further exploration of modern art during and about the war, as well as for presentations and educational lectures.
