CULTURAL COMPONENTS OF THE TOURIST DESTINATIONS EMERGENCE IN 19TH CENTURY IN CENTRAL UKRAINE
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to consider the cultural components of the tourism formation in Central Ukraine in the XIX century. Based on the culturological analysis of the determinants of tourism development in Central Ukraine, during the XIX century, we study the process of emergence of tourist destinations as an important socio-cultural component of society. Material and spiritual culture are considered as a significant resource for tourism development, which requires additional scientific cultural studies.
Research methodology. Work on the study involves an interdisciplinary approach. A systematic analysis of cultural aspects is used here to distinguish those related to the subject of this article. Also, the research methodology is based on the use of such general and specific methods as the analysis, synthesis, comparative, historical, axiological, genetic and cultural methods.
Results. The culturological analysis of historical, political, economic events, as well as the literary, artistic and scientific progress in the society of Central Ukraine in the XIX century is carried out. The development of leisure traditions and holding mass events is considered. A cultural study of infrastructural, transport, hotel and recreational progress during this period was conducted. Their interrelation and direct influence on the formation of such a complex socio-cultural phenomenon as tourism are revealed.
Novelty. It is noted that the development of culture, tourism and the formation of tourist destinations are closely connected with scientific research in the field of culture, which will allow to acknowledge with the historical and cultural background of the emergence and formation of tourist destinations. Since the main way to create successful, unique, attractive, competitive tourist attractions is a thorough study and proper preservation of cultural heritage.
The practical significance. Cultural studies of the historical heritage of Central Ukraine require further thorough scientific examination not only to develop cultural tourism, preserve cultural monuments and prosperity of tourist destinations, but also to strengthen the cultural potential of the state and pass cultural heritage to future generations. Cultural studies can be useful in elaborating local, regional and state programs for the development of tourist destinations and the tourism industry.
