UKRAINIAN ACADEMIC SONG IN THE MODERN SOCIO-CULTURAL SPACE
Abstract
Aim of paper – to offer the status of a scientific term to the concept of «Ukrainian academic song», to reveal the issues concerning the functioning of Ukrainian academic song in the modern socio-cultural space, to identify its problems and outline prospects for future development.
Research methodology is based on a theoretical approach to the study of modern Ukrainian academic vocal art as a single artistic and creative system of compositional and performing thinking.
The results lie in highlighting new approaches to the interpretation of the concept of «Ukrainian academic song» and the presentation of its genres in the modern cultural space. The search for new forms of presentation of vocal genres (chamber concerts outside academic institutions, open-air concerts, thematic TV and radio programs, expansion of the festival-competition movement, etc) will promote Ukrainian academic song with young audiences and actualize the process of its national-oriented development.
Novelty is to present new forms of promotion of Ukrainian academic vocal genres and their methodological, infrastructural and technological support in terms of updating the academic musical life of today’s era.
Practical significance. The theoretical conclusions of the article can be used to further study the problem of the functioning of Ukrainian academic music in the modern socio-cultural space.
