ODARKA BANDRIVSKA’S ARTISTIC HERITAGE IN CREATIVE-PERFORMING PRACTICE
Abstract
The aim. The aim of the article is to highlight the impact of Odarka Bandrivska’s artistic works on creative-performing activities of her class’s leading students who became famous chamber and opera singers as well as highly professional vocal teachers.
Research methodology. Research methodology comprises applying methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison and generalization. A mentioned methodological approach allows to analyze different sources in order to regard the impact of Odarka Bandrivska’s artistic works on creative-performing activities of her class’s leading students who became famous chamber and opera singers as well as highly professional vocal teachers.
Results. Odarka Bandrivska’s significant achievements in the field of vocal art have become influential in the professional development and fruitful activities of her students in their artistic realm. Among them there are prominent masters and highly professional vocal teachers, namely, M. Antonovych, L. Matsiuk, T. Didyk and M. Protseviat and others. Using Odarka Bandrivska’s artistic works, her followers focused the main attention on perfect vocal and technical training, range of quality repertoire and fostering Ukrainian national music culture. Continuing the artist’s traditions in the performing and vocal-pedagogical spheres, they not only multiplied the achievements of the Lviv vocal school but made a great contribution to the development of Ukrainian singing art that is an integral part of world music culture.
Novelty. The author offers her own concept of consideration of Odarka Bandrivska’s artistic works that includes studying their impacton the professional development of the artist’s students. Nowadays it is very topical issue that needs to be highlighted in the context of developing national vocal culture of the XX century.
The practical significance. Due to the detailed study of the impact of Odarka Bandrivska’s artistic works on the professional development, creative-performing activities of her students (among them there are prominent masters and highly professional vocal teachers), we can better understand their significant contribution to the development of national vocal art. Fruitful work of the followers of the outstanding artist in their artistic realm reveals insufficiently studied pages in the history of Ukrainian culture and serves as a bright example for the contemporaries.
