Abstract

The popularization of didactic ideas on the history of Ukrainian pedagogy is facilitated by the systematization of information about musical instruments and the experience of playing them, recommendations for composers and performers from Mykola Diletsky’s «Grammar of Music» (1723). Equal interpretation of instrumental and vocal music in the Kyiv metropolitanate helped him to better explain his innovative ideas, to convey the concept of modern musical practice, which contributed to the faster assimilation of musical and grammatical wisdom by students. Such information patronized the treatise as a respectable means of combating routine and dilettantism, the latest model of pedagogy, a source of organology and musical iconography.
