REFLECTION OF THE PRINCIPLES OF ICONICITY IN THE ICONOGRAPHIC IMAGE
Abstract
The article raises the issue of methodological principles of iconology, associated with the creation of an iconographic
image. The approach to the retransmission of iconic principles is formed by distinguishing between two categories of images
– the image-double and the image-sign. It is determined that the world of speculative eidos is not perceived by the senses, and
in this sense the image-double, the imagery of which consists in mimesis, cannot transmit noetic experience. Instead, it is
noted that through the image-sign speculative categories and abstract phenomena are manifested in visible forms of
perception, because in its structure it contains the distance between image and prototype, speculative and sensory worlds,
which is overcome by iconic principles, certain methods, application of which is presented in this scientific work.
