PROPERTIES OF THE METHODOLOGICAL STRATEGY OF STUDYING MATERIAL ARTIFACTS OF CULTURE

Abstract

The article substantiates the author's approach to the methodology of the study of material artifacts of culture.

The author examined the existing opposite trends in methodological approaches to cultural studies, analyzed their advantages and disadvantages, and determined his own approach to this problem. The role of the personality of the researcher in the sciences of the humanitarian sphere is especially noted.

 The methodological approach to a specific subject of scientific interest of the author – the analysis of the world of artificial phenomena, material artifacts of culture, is specifically concretized. Within this framework, the main views expressed in the special literature are considered, the conclusion is drawn that there is insufficient scientific attention to the consideration of this aspect of the issue of artifacts of culture in domestic and foreign scientific studies.

The application of the leading principles of modern scientific knowledge in the humanities is justified – the principle of «personal knowledge», the principle of proliferation and the principle of «anything goes» there are in the conclusions.
